The original and still the best: Lowe Alpine’s Mountain Cap is the classic waterproof mountain cap, fit perfectly, with fleece lining and cosy fold down ears to keep you warm on a winter walk.

A malleable and wired peak means you can adjust the front to suit your activity, and features a press stud fold away to clip it away when not needed. Available in three sizes to fit most head sizes, with a velcro tab adjustment on the back means you can dial in the fit. The scooped ear flaps have webbing loop attachments that can be attached to a chin strap for ultimate on head security (chin strap not included).

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS

In 1967 Greg Lowe was desperate for better gear for his climbing & mountaineering exploits. He needed a backpack that could carry his gear securely but let him move freely on technical and demanding terrain. He designed ‘The Expedition Pack’, it featured an internal frame, compression straps and other never seen before features. That first product is now considered the blueprint from which all modern, technical backpacks are derived.

Since then, Lowe Alpine has been focused on providing backpacks that inspire people to seek out adventure. All of their packs are functional, tough and comfortable to carry.
