DESCRIPTION
Designed for rain and windproof warmth, the Jackson Glacier Parka is built by Patagonia with 100% recycled polyester. Combining technical elements with a casual long length style that keeps you warm, dry and comfortable every day. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
The shell is made of waterproof/breathable/wind-resistant H2No® Performance Standard 2-layer 100% recycled polyester plain weave, with a 100% recycled polyester taffeta lining. To shed light moisture, the shell and lining are treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without intentionally added PFAS.
To keep you warm, the jacket is insulated with a toasty 700-fill-power 100% Recycled Down (duck and goose down reclaimed from down products). The baffle channels are taped to the shell to prevent down from shifting, which eliminates “cold spots”.
The centre-front zipper has a zipper garage at the chin for comfort, a wind flap and snap closures, with a two way function that allows you to vent excess head if needed. The Insulated, fixed hood with hidden drawcords cinches down for protective warmth, and internal storm cuffs lock out the cold. On-seam handwarmer pockets have a soft, brushed tricot lining, and an internal zippered pocket secures your phone and other necessities close at hand.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Patagonia was founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973, the company's roots are in clothing for rock and alpine climbing, but they now produce a diverse mix of apparel targeted towards skiers, snowboarders, surfers and climbers. Patagonia are a world leader in creating ethical, sustainable clothing.
Recycled Polyester: Polyester is a naturally water-repellent material that can withstand the elements. Using polyester fibre made from mechanically recycled plastic bottles reduces CO2 emissions, and Patagonia are working toward eliminating all virgin polyester in their products by 2025.
Recycled Down: Diverted from landfill, the use of recycled down reduces waste and reintroduces used down into the insulation market. Reclaimed from cushions, bedding and other used items that can’t be resold — all things that add to our growing landfills. By plucking down from the trash, Patagonia reduce waste and contribute to the down-recycling stream.
Fair Trade: Patagonia now use more than 20 Fair Trade factories that specialise in the production of outdoor clothing, paying a premium for every Patagonia item that is made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory. They actively encourage other brands that do business in those factories to join them in the Fair Trade movement, ensuring living wages within the supply chain.
