DESCRIPTION
Designed to keep you warm and dry in cold, wet conditions, the waterproof Windshadow Parka from Patagonia is made with 100% recycled polyester. With Thermogreen™ 100% recycled polyester insulation, plenty of pockets and an adjustable hood and cuffs, this parka is your daily driver for stormy days. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
The body fabric is 2-layer, 4.7-oz 150-denier 100% recycled polyester ripstop, with a 2.2-oz 100% recycled polyester solid taffeta lining. Shell and lining are treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that's made without PFCs (perfluorinated chemicals), and the shell also has hydrophobic PU lamination - perfect for keeping the wet weather out.
The parka is insulated with 200-g Thermogreen™ 100% recycled polyester in the body and 150-g in the hood and sleeves to regulate temperature where it counts. The spacious hood cinches down with a drawcord, and the centre-front zipper closure and a snap-closure storm flap all work together to keep out the cold. The front pockets warm your hands on chilly days, the left-chest security pocket and internal chest pocket hold your valuables. Adjustable cuffs help you dial in with layers and gloves.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Patagonia was founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973, the company's roots are in clothing for rock and alpine climbing, but they now produce a diverse mix of apparel targeted towards skiers, snowboarders, surfers and climbers. Patagonia are a world leader in creating ethical, sustainable clothing.
Recycled Polyester: Polyester is a naturally water-repellent material that can withstand the elements. Using polyester fibre made from mechanically recycled plastic bottles reduces CO2 emissions, and Patagonia are working toward eliminating all virgin polyester in their products by 2025.
Fair Trade: Patagonia now use more than 20 Fair Trade factories that specialise in the production of outdoor clothing, paying a premium for every Patagonia item that is made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory. They actively encourage other brands that do business in those factories to join them in the Fair Trade movement, ensuring living wages within the supply chain.
