DESCRIPTION
Inspired by decades of hiking boot heritage, Danner have partnered with Vibram to forge a new path in hiking footwear, combining classic styling with lightweight innovation.
The combination of the Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole gives an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces while providing superior cushioning without excessive weight. With the variety of climate and terrain in the Pacific Northwest of America in mind, the Mountain 600 boots utilise a rugged and durable full-grain leather upper and Danner Dry waterproof protection to keep you comfortable no matter the conditions.
Full-Grain Leather Upper: Danner put their leather through six different tests to ensure it’s the strongest and most durable to make a boot from
Danner Dry: 100% waterproof barrier allows moisture to escape without letting water in, keeping your feet dry and comfortable all day long
Two Lace Options: Because you can never have too many laces, this pair comes with both round and flat laces
Removable Ortholite Footbed: The entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation, with three layers of varying density for maximum cushioning and support
Vibram® SPE Midsole: This rubberised EVA midsole maintains the same cushioning properties as traditional EVA, but is more durable and won’t break down as easily. This technology enhances rebound, comfort and support
VibramM® FUGA Outsole: With its self-adapting lugs and specially formulated Megagrip compound, this outsole provides incredible grip on both wet and dry surfaces
How It Fits: Fit true to size. Designed for versatility, with a lower profile for everyday wear. If you are in-between sizes, we recommend sizing down a half size for best fit

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Charles Danner opened the doors of Danner Shoe Mfg. Company in the old logging town of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with twelve employees to build affordable, handcrafted work boots. In the 1960’s they recognised the cultural shift towards activities in the outdoors like hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing becoming America’s only domestic manufacturer of walking boots.
Building on nearly a century of traditions and high standards of quality originally instilled by their founder, Danner continue to design and manufacture a complete line of hiking, hunting, uniform, work and lifestyle boots in their world-class factory in Portland, Oregon, USA.
