A monochrome friend of Kånken No 2, this is an everyday backpack with excellent longevity that is just as practical to use for school or work as it is on an outing or travelling. The main compartment has a generous opening that makes it easy to pack and find your essentials. A separate, padded compartment provides safe storage for a laptop computer (up to 15”).

An inside back pocket has a padded seat pad made from G-1000 HeavyDuty, easy to take out when you want to sit down for a pause and when in place, it offers padding that keeps the backpack’s contents from pressing against the back. Two open pockets on the sides for umbrellas or a water bottle and a zippered pocket on the front. Business card holder inside. Leather details and handles, textile shoulder straps.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS

The story behind Fjällräven began in 1950 when Åke Nordin, a 14-year-old boy from Örnsköldsvik in Northern Sweden, was about to go for a trek in the mountains. Åke, who spent more time outdoors than indoors, did not like the backpacks that were available at that time. He decided to take matters into his own hands and built a wooden frame, this frame became the start of Åke's company, in 1960.

To this day Fjällräven stays true to Åke's vision of offering functional equipment for journeys in the outdoors. Fjällräven develop environmentally friendly fabrics and co-operate with partners to improve the environment and support biodiversity.
