DESCRIPTION
Applying the hiking experience and variety of terrain of the 2,650 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, the Trail 2650 Mid GTX are built to move quickly and confidently through the terrain of your choosing, filling the role of a waterproof lightweight hiker or trainer with ease.
Using a Trailguard TPU shank and an EXO Heel System, the Trail 2650 is lightweight, provides stability on challenging ground and utilises a Gore-Tex liner for waterproof protection. Combining a durable leather with a lightweight textile to create an upper with a modern performance and timeless Danner durability.
In the middle there's a removable Ortholite footbed with three layers of varying density are combined for maximum cushioning and support. The entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation. Underneath, the Vibram 460 Outsole feature self-adapting lugs and Vibram’s specially formulated Megagrip compound providing long-wearing resilience with incredible grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Charles Danner opened the doors of Danner Shoe Mfg. Company in the old logging town of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with twelve employees to build affordable, handcrafted work boots. In the 1960’s they recognised the cultural shift towards activities in the outdoors like hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing becoming America’s only domestic manufacturer of walking boots.
Building on nearly a century of traditions and high standards of quality originally instilled by their founder, Danner continue to design and manufacture a complete line of hiking, hunting, uniform, work and lifestyle boots in their world-class factory in Portland, Oregon, USA.
